I can not remember where I picked up this wood craft but I have had it for a few years. It was sitting in a box, unfinished. It was just waiting for me to find the time to craft. Thankfully I had Bobbie come visit me for a few days. We focused on crafting and making food. It is always fun to craft with friends.
I picked this wood project out because my garden has many gnomes. We love to have the gnomes in the yard. Sometimes I wonder if they come to life like in the movie Gnome and Juliet.
I painted and modge podged paper on to this piece. I had the butterflies from an SEI Scrapbooking kit and I loved adding them to the mushroom.
In the picture above (bottom right photo) I tried to show how I marked and drilled holes for the wire grass pieces. Adding the wire made the piece more complete!
The yellow paper on the bottom block has sparkles. Using the primary colors for this piece was so much fun. Bobbie did a fabulous job of drawing a little face for the gnome. I added buttons and ribbon for a belt to make him feel more complete. I certainly will enjoy him inside my home during the months we can have the gnomes outside in the sunshine!
